Show DANIEL RASMUSSEN AND JOHN GUNDERSON QUALIFY FOR MAYOR The Democratic Primary was held on Monday evening of this week. It was one of the largest Democratic meetings of the kind held in years as the City Hall where the meeting was held was filled to its capacity. The following ticket was nominated ' to be submitted to the voters on clec- ' tion day: For Mayor, Daniel Rasmussen. I For Recorder. Byron Carter. ' For Treasurer, Fannie C. Miles. For Councilman, 4-year term, C. T. ' Drage. For Councilmen, 2-year term, Wm. ' I H. Seely, Lauritz Larsen and rarley Hansen. A campaign committee was elected empowered to fill vacancies in the ticket that might occur. Wm. II. Seely, named for councilman council-man for two-year term, tendered his resignation to the committee because of expected abscence from the city during the winter and spring and possibly during the summer. As Prof. W. W. McKirahan was next high man at the primary he was elected by the committee to fill the vacancy and his name will appear on the ballot for councilman for a two-year term. The candidates were pledged to a clean, economical administration of the municipal affairs of the city if elected. j I The Republican City Primary was held last Saturday evening. October IGlh at the Opera House and candidates can-didates for municipal oflices were nominated by the parly as follows: For Mayor, John Guuderson. For Recorder, Arthur O, Neilson. For Councilman, 4-year term, A. E. Mcintosh. For Councilmen, 2-year term, S. F. Jensen, Leonard Seely and Wm. L. Madsen. For Treasurer, Mrs. Hannah Bur nett. The caucas was a rousing event in political circles. Guuderson, although new in political circles, took then, by surprise with his large following. |
