The witness had finished his testimony testi-mony and had been turned over to tho opposing counsel for cross-examination. "You seem to remember even the most trilling details of this transaction transac-tion pretty well, considering that it took place six months ago," remarked the lawyer sarcastically. "Yes," replied the witness. "I have a good memory." "You say you have," said the lawyer, law-yer, "but I propose to put this wonderful won-derful memory of yours to a test. Ca.a you tell me what you were doing at tve minutes past S on the morning of December 9, 1914?" "Yes, sir," was the prompt answer. "I was running to catch the 8:07 train."
