Show CO. D. TO i ENTERTAIN i ' ' The celebration to be held in Mt. ' Pleasant Feb. 22nd in honor of the occupancy of the new Armory building build-ing in this city by Company D, N. G. U. bids fair to be the most im-; im-; portant event ever held in this section sec-tion of the State, from a military and social standpoint, Aftrange-; Aftrange-; ments forjthe various events of the celebration are being made now by the committees in charge, selected from Company D and prominent citizens of the town. As at present planned the day's events will be about as follows: Company Com-pany Din full dress uniform, accompanied accom-panied by the Mount Pleasant band, the reception committee and all citizens cit-izens of the town who can be prevailed pre-vailed on to be there will meet Gov. Spry, General Wedgwood and the others who come here from Salt Lake for the occasion, probably twenty in ill, at the deoot. From there a procession pro-cession will march to the Armory where a few moments will be spent in handshaking. In the afternoon a meeting will be held at the Armory where a program of music and speeches will be given. In the early evening an elaborate banquet will be given at the South Ward meeting house; tickets for the event may be purchased from members of Company Compa-ny D, who have them for sale, by those wishing to attend. After dinner din-ner speeches and music will be a feature of the dinner. The day will conclude with a grand military ball, at which all militiamen will appear in full dress uniform, and at which an exhibition will be given. All of the events are being given attention with a care that means their entire success. |
