Alice II irker and i-'iildr n (:' Canada are visiting relatives ard friends here. A grand leap year ball will hegiv-en hegiv-en Feb. 12th, under the auspices of the mutuals. Everybody is invited. A number of the parents of our high school students attended the parents reception given at the Mount Pleasant High School last Friday. They report a very excellent time. The Sunshine club met at the home of J ames H. Sanderson Feb. Gth, a very pleasant evening was spent in singing, playing games, and telling stories. Refreshments were served. A big rabbit hunt was engaged in by about fifty of our nirarods Tuesday. Tues-day. J. Brady and Henry Terry acting act-ing as captains. Henry's crowd being be-ing the victors were permitted to dance at the expense of the others. A very pleasant surprise party was given Mr. and Mrs. Fritz Christoph-erson Christoph-erson by a large number of their friends Wednesday evening, a good time was enjoyed by all present. Mr. Christopherson will ea'e soon f o r I J alio where he has employment. One of the most successful Annual days ever held was celebrated by the Relief Society last Saturday. An excellent ex-cellent meeting was held in the meeting meet-ing house at 10 a. m., dinner at i p. m. in the eclipse pavilion, afier which a very sptcy program was carried car-ried out, and at night a very bvely and enjoyable dance. The dancing space in the pavilion was taxed to almost more than its capacity to accommodate ac-commodate the ladies eager to get their share of the dancing, at least once in the year the ladies did the choosing. Mr. and Mrs. Hjort of i ludianola and Mrs. Rebeca Tucker were here for the occasion. |
