Show Band Instruments Arrive The First Regiment Band, N. G. V.. of this cily received a consignment of new instruments from the I'. S. Quartermaster's Department at Philadelphia Phil-adelphia this week. They were three soxaphones, two melaphones, one piccolo, one clarinet, all of the very best make and finish. These instruments equip the band in good shape, only two or three more being needed to make the set o fiirst-'clnss fiirst-'clnss instruments used by the members mem-bers complete. A dress uniform made to measure by the best tailoring tailor-ing establishment in the United States, has been promised the band, in addition to the service uniforms received recently. The band expects to give several dances and concerts in the larger towns of the valley during the coming month. It will proabably make the California trip with other Guard organizations in July. |
