The meetings were excellent and well attended. More than eleven elev-en hundred people attended Sabbath School and nearly one thousand attended at-tended afternoon services. Many people who were formerly residents here came home for this memorable occasion. In the ball game between Fairview and the soldiers, our boys were over matched and the hired pitcher was inferior to some of our home team and the game was lost. Miss Flossie Terry and Mr. Conrad ! Mower of Oak Creek were married in the Manti Temple Wednesday JunelSth. Miss Lola Sanderson of Fairview and Mr. Vernile Stewart of Milburn, and Mr. Vernon Sanderson of Fair-view Fair-view and Miss Mary Peterson of Mt. Pleasant were married June 18th, in tne Salt Lake Temple. They are al among our popular young people and are receiving congratulations. A party was given Miss Mary Sundwall at her home Monday evening eve-ning by the teachers and officers of the Y. L. M. I. A. She was their president the past year. The evening eve-ning was spent in games, music, etc. A general good time was had. Strawberries and cake were served to twenty five guests. Miss Mory Sundwall and Ira Cox went to Salt Lake this week to attend at-tend Summer School at the University. Univers-ity. The Young Ladies Association has been re-organized, with Miss Ida Olsen as president; Mrs. Pauline Olsen and Mrs. Alice Rigby, as counsellors; coun-sellors; Miss Leslie Stewart, Secretary, Secre-tary, and Miss Ethel Stewart assistant. assis-tant. Mrs, Laura Olsen of Provo is the guest of her father, P. R. Young and is visiting relatives and friends. Mrs. George Terry of Salt Lake is spending the week here. Mrs. Walter Wal-ter Hurst of Mapleton is also visiting visit-ing relatives. Mr. and Mrs. Jos. Barnes of Ne-phi Ne-phi came over to attend the dedication dedica-tion of our new tabernacle. Wm. Cheney also came from Provo for the same purpose. Mrs. Lizzie Allred and her daughters daugh-ters went to Provo this week for a visit. She expects to move to Salt Lake in the future. Mr. and Mrs. C. P. Olsen. of Provo are spending the week in Fairview. Mrs. Laura W. Porter of Central is visiting friends here. Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Vance are the guests of John Vance and are visiting relatives.
