The dinner party given last Saturday Satur-day evening by Mr. and Mrs. John Knudsen was in every way a success. Those enjoying the affair were Mr. and Mrs. John Seely, Mr. and Mrs. W. D. Candland, Mr. and Mrs. J. W. Cherry. Mrs. Andrew Jacobsen of Salt Lake City and Master Clark spent the first half of the week in this city guests of Mr. and Mrs. C. D. Strang. Howard Strang spent the first part of the week here with his parents also. Mrs. W. E. Watson and daughter Emma went to Salt Lake this week to spend some time. Mrs. Watson goes to take the hot water treatment for rheumatism, from which she has suffered severely for many months. Mads Anderson was seriously injured in-jured one day last week by being run over by a heavy wagon while going over Hill-top on his way to Thi6tle valley. He will be bedfast for some time as a result of the accident. ac-cident. Mr. and Mrs. Henry Wall spent most of the week on Provo Bench, guests of Mrs. Wall's sister who resides re-sides there. Mr. Wall went into Salt Lake to meet Mrs. Meiling, his mother-in-law, who had come down from her son Earl's home in Medford, Oregon. Or-egon. She will come to Mt. Pleasant Pleas-ant later to spend the summer. Ed Johnston took Burke McArth-ur McArth-ur and John Frandsen to Salt Lake City in his Maxwell Automobile Thursday morning to attend the Democratic State Convention. After spending several hours in the city attending at-tending to business which they desired, desir-ed, the gent'emen returned home again in the evening. It was a pleasant trip and without difficulty. Mrs. Sutton entertained the Home Culture Club at its last session. The gentlemen were invited and after the businessof the evening was, finished fin-ished they began to arrive and a most pleasant hour was spent. Delicious Deli-cious refreshments were served af-ler af-ler which all of the. gentlemen and some of the ladies made appropriate appropri-ate toasts and speeches.
