Show Sanpete Sends Products to National Irrigation Congress and State Fair The Fruit Growers and Farmers of Sanpete County are sending a very choice exhibit of their fruits and vegetables to the National Irrigation Ir-rigation Congress and State Fair which will be held at Salt Lake City during the week beginning September Sept-ember 30th. Those contributing to this exhibit are mostly from Mount Pleasant, Spring City, Moroni and Freedom. Following are names of gentlemen: from Mc. Pleasant who sent products to the Exhibit, and the kinds of Products: RosenlofT Brothers, Wolf River and Gravestein apple; Mrs. James Wilson, Gravestein and Wolf River apples and Bartlett Pears; J. E. Gunderson, Carrots Beets and Onions; Erastus Poulsen, Onions; Uncle John W'aldemar, Cabbage, Beets, and Onions and Carrots; James Monsen, Improved Potatoes; Joseph Brewer, Plumbs, Bartlett. and Flemish Flem-ish Beauty Pears; Thos, Braby, Wolf River Apples. From Spring City: Eugene All red , from Judge Johnson's Farm, Ben Davis and Roman Beauty Apples; W. C. Barney, Grand Winter Banna Ban-na and Crab apples; Chris Anderson, Ander-son, Gano and Wolf River Apples. From Moroni: R. P. Larson," Plumb?, Roman Beauty, Ben Davis Arkansas Black, Mackentosh lied, Rhode Island Greening, Winter Banna Ban-na and Wolf River Apples. Frcm Freedom; Samuel Gee, Bart-, Bart-, lett and Howell Pears, Jonathans and N, W. Greening Apples, A fair Sample of the apples were given to the Pyramid and m::y be seen in the window of C. 1). Strang the Jeweler. It demonstrates to the public that fruit growing is a very profitable industry in Sanpete. The fruit is A number one in evciy respect. Much credit is due County Horticulture Horti-culture Inspector Hans Crown and J. E. Gunderson who were i;i-strmental i;i-strmental in getting up the disph.y which was sent to Salt Lake Ci y on Wednesday. It is hoped that others will take as much interest in fruitgrowing in the near future as Mr. Gundferson has done. |
