Show Neighborhood News S. D. Longsdorf and J. W. McGann went to Lagoon in an automobile this week to attend the Elks Convention. Miss Thressa Freston departed Wednesday for Mackey, Idaho. She will spend several weeks in that state. Mrs. Marcus Harris and son, Simon of St. Louis are guests at the home of Mr. and Mrs. F. C. Jensen this week. Mr. Marcus Harris is president of the Harris Wool Company at St. Louis. Mr. and Mrs. Hans Tuft of Monroe were guests at the home of Mr. and Mrs. A. B. Waldemar of this city during the early part of the week. They have been over on the Reservation Reser-vation in their automobile and stopped stop-ped here on their return trip. Mr. Tuft is president of one of the banks at Richfield. Mrs. Fred Rasmussen and children spent the past two weeks at Salt Lake City and Park City. While at Park City Mrs. Rasmussen stepped on one of the planks of the platform at the depot, and as she was attempting attempt-ing to board the train a large sliver sliv-er penetrated the sole of her shoe and run into the foot causing much pain and discomfort. Mrs. Rasmussen injuries were dressed by a physician and she was brought home by her husband on Sunday's train. She is unable to walk at present, but is improving im-proving very nicely. Funeral services over the remains of Christie B. Hansen, little daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Parley Hansen were held at their home last Friday afternoon. after-noon. Bishop A. Merz presiding. Prayer was offered by Elder James W. Anderson. Sacred music was furnished fur-nished by members of the South Ward Choir. Elder Geo. Christensen, Christen-sen, Pres. C. N. Lund and Bishop A. Merz spoke with most endearing terms aad comforting words. Burke McArthur offered the closing prayer. Enterment was made in the Mount Pleasant, cemetery. Bishop A. Merz dedicated the grave. A profusion of beautiful flowers were given by their many friends who attended the services. |
