Show j FOUNTAIN GREEN I By Special Correspondence I Automobile Accident Hurts Two Drivers A head-on collision on the "highway four and one-half miles south of Fountain Green Saturday Satur-day morning, July 5th was reported re-ported by Patrolman Reed Col- lard. The drivers, and only occupants occu-pants of both cars, were August Johnson of Fountain Green and Glenn Oldroyd of Moroni. Patrolman Reed Collard, who investigated the case, said that Mr. Oldroyd apparently was dozing doz-ing at the wheel. Both drivers were rushed to the Madsen hospital, but were released the following day by Dr. Madsen, who attended them. Both cars were almost demolished. de-molished. Johnson Reunion Descendants of the late William Wil-liam Johnson will hold their reunion re-union on July IS and 19 in Fountain Foun-tain Green. A program, games and sports will be held at the City Park. Representatives of more than 75 families are expected to be present. Social Items Mr. and Mrs. Vcrn Chapman of Chicago are visiting with her parents and grandparents in Fountain Green. Vem, a former resident of this city, is employed at' the Live Stock market" in Chicago. Mr. and Mrs. Rees Llewellyn of Ely. Nevada visited during the week with relatives in Fountain Green. Mrs. Arvilla Taylor and children chil-dren of Vernal are visiting with her parents, Mr. and Mrs.'james H. Mikkelson. A boy, S lbs. and 2 ounces, made his appearance Saturday morning, July 5th at the Dice hospital in Moroni. His parents are Mr. and Mrs. Doyce Crowther of Fountain Green. Former residents, Mr. and Mrs. Orvin Anderson and children of Provo spent Sunday with relatives rela-tives here. Also back home again for a few days were Mr. and Mrs. Perry Alrled and daughter, Beth of McGill, Nevada. Miss Mary Draper, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Aury Draper, is convalescing at the Dice hospital from an appendicitis operation. From New York. Mr. and Mrs. Duane Anderson of New York City are enjoying a month's vacation va-cation at the home of his parents, Mr. and Mrs. A. A. Anderson. Mrs. Lena Livingston was a Salt Lake City visitor of the week Mrs. Ruby Ivory of Salt Lake City was a Sunday visitor in Fountain Green. Mr. and Mrs. Grant Erickson and children were visitors of the week at the Lorcn Jensen home. Mr. and Mrs. Austin Mangel-son Mangel-son and children were visitors of the week with their parents, Mr. and Mrs. Ivan Rasmussen. In honor of Marilyn, Mary and Connie Ivory, daughters of Mr. and Mrs. Howard Ivory of Vernal, Utah Camille Rasmussen entertained enter-tained at a party recently. Eleven Elev-en friends and the honored guests were present. Mrs. Edith Madsen and daughters daugh-ters of Ogden spent Sunday with her mother. Mrs. Annie Jackson. Mrs. Erma Jensen of Moroni was a Fountain Green visitor Tuesday. Miss Ellen Mikkelson of Salt Lake City is home for a few days with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. N. C. Mikkelson. |
