Show LeRoy Kelson has been ill at his home several days. Mr. Nelson Nel-son says he believes he had a slight sunstroke. Mr. and Mrs. James Fillis, Mr. and Mrs. Leland Shepherd, and Mr. and Mrs. Louis Hansen went fishing in Cleveland Reservoir last week end. Mrs. Fillis said they had good luck, and that all had a very enjoyable time. C. W.- Stedman and his two daughters, Rose Edith and Winifred, Wini-fred, enjoyed a trip through the' Parks of Southern Utah last Sunday, Sun-day, Monday and Tuesday. The trio stayed one night at Bryce Canyon, and one night' at Cedar Breaks. Rose Edith entrained for California from Lund on Monday Mon-day night. She is employed as manager of the Bridal Gift shop in Bullock's Department Store in Los Angeles. The shop she manages man-ages takes care of all details on weddings. An interesting sidelight side-light is the fact that this shop took care of 65 weddings in the vicinity of Los Angeles in just one day last week. Mrs. Jack Mason of Salt Lake City was a Mt. Pleasant visitor on Monday. She will be remembered remem-bered as the former Verda Dyches of . Wales, Utah. Among those she visited in Mt. Pleasant was Mrs. Grant Brotherson. Claudia and Karen Smith, daughters of Mr. and Mrs. Paul L. Smith of Nephi, visited for several days this week with their grandmother, Mrs. J. C. Synder-gaard. Synder-gaard. The two little girls, just 7 and 5 years of age, were quite delighted when they were allowed allow-ed to make the bus trip from Nephi all alone. Miss Annie Johansen returned last Saturday night after spending spend-ing more than a week in Salt Lake City. While there she visited vis-ited with her nephew, Hyrum Syndergaard, and also other friends and relatives in that city. Mr. and Mrs. Don Lund have rented the old Dunham home from Jim Fillis and are fixing it up so they can move in soon. Mrs. Ruth Ridlebauch and her four months old daughter, Jacqueline, Jac-queline, are guests at her parents par-ents home, Mr. and Mrs. V. H. Gunderson. Twenty little guests were entertained en-tertained at a birthday party-given party-given by his mother in honor of Jay Lynn Shepherd's 5th birthday birth-day on Friday. |
