Show Local Guard CO Feels Good Abont Inspection Although results of the inspection inspec-tion will not be known until the inspecting officers official report is returned, Mt. Pleasant's National Guard unit did "All right," in the words of its commanding com-manding officer, Capt. Gordon Staker, during a rigid annual .federal examination Monday. The inspection was conducted by Col. Renold Melberg, assistant assist-ant adjutant general, Sixth Army, Col. Paul H. Weyland, group instructor, and a Colonel Mays, senior army instructor. Purpose of the examination was to check the state of training train-ing and condition and main-tainance main-tainance of equipment of the local unit, known officially as Battery A of the 145th FA BN, Utah State National Guard. Equipment was inspected during dur-ing the afternoon and personnel person-nel in the evening. |
