Show Wasatch Notes By Kathy Redd Letters To Themselves "A Service of Commitment" Tuesday morning climaxed Inspiration In-spiration Week. Continuing tradition, students wrote letters to themselves which were collected col-lected and sealed in a box signed by Homer Ashton, student body president. These letters will be distributed at the beginning be-ginning of Inspiration week next year. Student speakers for the service were Barbara Erick-Fon. Erick-Fon. Betty Jean Barentsen, Gary McLemore, Bernice Vanderwag-en, Vanderwag-en, Christine Rawles and Boh Moore. Music was furnished bv violinist, Roger Hansen an" Joanne Voorhees, vocalist. In the afternoon a good many students wfere sctators at the WA-Pan-guitch basketball game which was the Tiger tussle in the Round Robin tournament played in the Snow College gym. For Less Fortunate Students Wednesday the World Student Service Fund drive was launched at WA under the sponsorship of the International Relations Club "Their Own Story", a movie telling tell-ing the needs of students m war-torn countries was shown and the student body was asked to pledge what they could to improve conditions. The drive ends March 11 and that evening even-ing the class which raises the largest amount per capita will be treated to a dance in Sagr Dorm's newly decorated game room. Girls' Volleyball Ten letterettes made up tbr volleyball team which journeyer1 to Provo Saturday morning af guests of BYU at the Invitations' Volleyball tournament. Gam:' were played with Lincoln, Pleasant Pleas-ant Grove and Wasatch hig' school teams. The score wa? tied in the Lincoln match and WA was defeated in the remaining remain-ing games. I A Moroni bus furnished trans- portation for the WA team anr' volleyball girls from NorP j Sanpete and Moroni hig' schools. |
