'ihe small daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Seldon Mower was burned on the mouth Wednesday at her home when she got hold of a can of lie. Lester Madsen was a Fairview visiter over the weekend. He left Sunday for Boulder City with George Pearson where they are employed at the present time. A Valentine party was held in me W. P. A. play school this week. The party was under the direction of Mrs. Jessie Sundwall. Mrs. lone Wells and children of Salt Lake City visited this week at the home of her mother, Mrs. Nellie Carlston. Mrs. Afton Christiansen was hostess to her seeing club on Thursday aiiernoon at her home. Mr. and Mrs. Ted Vance er-tei-tamed a number of friends at .ncir heme Sunday night. The picture showed the process of constructing construct-ing the modern fighting airplane. LaMonte Brig; s of Santaquin, formerly of Fairview, is visiting hjte over ihe weekend. Mrs. Alax Housekeeper was .aicen to a Salt Lake City hospital last Sunday to undergo an opera- ..Ull. Mrs. Ethel Mow-er made a trip to Spring Canyon and Carbon Coan'y this week. She visited her Mother Mac Stewart, who at present is in the Price hospital. Mr. and Mrs. Aaron Cheney announce the marriage of their son Ray and Miss Lorene Quinn, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Duff Quinn of Firth, Idaho. The marriage mar-riage w-as solemnized in Manti temple Tuesday. The young cou-pie cou-pie and Mr. and Mrs. Aaron Cheney Che-ney left for Idaho Thursday morning where a wedding reception re-ception will be held. Ray nas aiso accepted a call to go on an L. D. S. mission to the Southern States, and will leave for his mis-ioii mis-ioii on the 19th of March. Funeral services for Mrs. Elizabeth Eliza-beth Mower Erickson, wife of Cail August Erickson of Boneta, who died Tuesday at her home of a heart attack and pneumonia, were conducted Thursday at 1 p. m. in the Boneta ward chapel. Mrs. Erickson, a former resident resi-dent of Fairview, was born March 21, 1878 in Fairview, a daughter of William E. and Emily Stewart Mower. She was a member of and an ardent worker in the L. D. S. church, especially .n the Relief Society. She wras married to Mr. Erickson Erick-son August 1, 1896 in the Manti L. D. S. temple. They lived in Fairview until 1913 when they moved to Boneta. Mrs. Hannah Howell celebrated her birthday at her home Monday, Mon-day, February 10th. A very fine dinner was served to thirteen guests. Mr. and Mrs. Urban Hartley entertained at their home Sunday Sun-day evening for twelve guests. Cards were played during the evening. The Literary Club met Monday night at the home of Mrs. Jack Sanders. Mrs. Leah Nielson entertained lcr sewing club Thursday after-loon after-loon at her home. George Vance, an applicant for he CAA training course at Snow Hoilege, was very fortunate last week to pass the entrance re- quirements along wdth nine other oth-er aspirants.
