This train ide provides an unmistakeable pleasure for the vast majority! of these young men, the greater lumber of whom have not ven-ured ven-ured far from the place of their oirlh. The thrill of the long journey west helps to nulify the pangs of homesickness felt by many. Usually about two days and two nights are employed in transit between camp McCoy and Mt. Pleasant. These trains are under the lirect command of a train commander, com-mander, a CCC officer from one of the camps who has been ordered order-ed to accompany a group of enrollees en-rollees honorably discharged to the center of dispersion, in th is i ease- camp McCoy. In addition J ach train has a mess officer, I vhuse duty it is to supervise the reparatins and serving of meals nroute. Also on board is a medi-al medi-al officer whose charge is the oys health during the journey. In due course the men assigned assign-ed to this company reach Salt Lake City whore they are trans-ered trans-ered to coaches attached to thei D R G & W "local which brings! hem men to Mt.
