Show Fairview Topics . . . Fairview Foursome Complete Toui Home this week from a 21-day tour of the southwest, the south and parts of old Mexico were Dr. and Mrs. S. B. Rigby and Mr. and Mrs. R. M. Oldroyd oi Fairview. Dr. Rigby is chairman of the Sanpete county commission. commis-sion. During their trip, the Fairview party visited the following cities and points of interest: South Rim of the Grand canyon, Phoenix. Ariz.; Nogales, Mex.; El Paso, San Antonio, Houston and' Galveston, Gal-veston, Tex. From Texas they went to Baton Rouge and New Orleans, La. Enroute home the Pigbys and the Oldroyds visited in Texas and New Mexico and inspected Indian villages in the latter state. The group attempted to see a bull fight at Juarez, Mexico, but were informed that the season doesn't begin until April. Bridge Club Meets Thursday Mrs. Norma Allred entertained her bridge club. Mrs. Allied served lunch to the following members, Mrs. Olive Hurst, Mrs. Verda Amundsen, Miss Becky Sanderson, Mrs. Ks-telle Ks-telle Hamilton, Mrs. Oleuh Cox, Mrs. Eda Anderson, Mrs. Helen Lasson, and the special guests, Mrs. Olive Coons, Mrs. Iluby Hansen, Mrs. Dorothy Mouvr, Mrs. Mabel Peterson and Mrs. Altha Mower. Prizes were won by Miss Becky Sanderson and Mrs. Verda Amundsen. Lucy Tucker Wins High Score Mrs. Lorna Tucker was hostess to her bridge club Wednesday. A hot luncheon was served t Mrs. Lorna Terry, Mrs. Rebecca Jensen, Mrs. Lucy Tucker, Mrs. Lillian Brady, Mrs. Margery Vance, Mrs. Madora Hansen, Mrs. J. J. Eleven Attend Sewing Club The sewing club met at the home of Mrs. Eda Anderson Monday night. Fairview Girl Enrolled At Weber College Attending Weber college fo the first time this quarter is Alice Cox, Fairview, daughter of Mrs. Roy B. Cox. This quarter she is taking a general course preparatory tr deciding later upon a specific field. At present her schedule includes courses in sociology and economics. Full time employment, she stated, prevents her from engaging en-gaging in many college out-of-class activities. She said her plans following the completion of her college work are still "up in the air." |
