Show James Burnside Buried Nov. 19 Funeral services for James C. Burnside, native of Mt. Pleasant, were conducted at the North ward chapel Nov. 19. under the direction of Bishop David Shelley. Shel-ley. Speakers at the services were William L. Shelley, Nelson Johansen Jo-hansen and David A. Shelley. Musical numbers were furnished by the Hafen brothers and by Tommy Brunger. Mrs. Valene Johansen, Mrs. Ivan Richardson and Mrs. Ada Seely also sang ; number. Prayers at the funeral were offered by Joseph Johansen and Leslie Shelley. The grave wa; dedicated by Moroni Johansen. Full military honors were extended ex-tended at the graveside service by the Mt. Pleasant Dost of the American Legion. He had served serv-ed in the first world war. Mr. Burnside was a son of William and Anna Burnside. He had served as superintendent superintend-ent of the Mountainville Sunday Sun-day School and in other church capacities. He was married to Vera Mc-Arthur Mc-Arthur Burnside. Two of hi: sons, Wayne and Francis, paid the supreme sacrifice in World War II. |
