Show r MORONI I By Special Correspondence The Sorosis Club members and their husbands enjoyed a Rook party at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Prestiwich Thursday night of last week. Hot dinner was served to twenty-five guests niter which six tables of Rook were played. Mrs. Roy Story and Cleon Anderson won high score prizes. Mrs. N. P. Soren-sen Soren-sen and Lewis Blackham received receiv-ed consolation prizes. Mr. and Mrs. John Syme entertained en-tertained at a shower honoring iheir daughter and her husband, Mr. and Mrs. Rulon Strate Saturday Sat-urday night in the Lincoln school building. The young couple received re-ceived many lovely gifts. Re-.reshments Re-.reshments were served to two hundred and fifty guests. The Sons and Daughters organization org-anization of Pioneers and Black Hawk Indian War Veterans held their annual celebration Friday nieht in the Moroni high school ouilding. A splendid program, banquet and dance were enjoyed. About two hundred people were served at the banquet. State Commander and Mrs. Alma Fullmer, Full-mer, Mr. and Mrs. John Hardy of Springville, Mr. and Mrs. A. C. Money and Bishop and Mrs. Beckstrom of Spanish Fork were present. Mrs. Jay Sanderson entertained the Sew Art Club Thursday night. Refreshments were served serv-ed to twelve .memoers. The time 'A'as spent sewing. The Rook Cluo was entertained entertain-ed at the home of Miss Ella Brad-.ey Brad-.ey Wednesday night. The evening eve-ning was spent playing Rook. Mrs. Rula Lamb won high score prize and Miss Pauline Bailey re-eeived re-eeived consolation prize. Refreshments Re-freshments were served to eight members and three special uests. Mr. and Mrs. Lyonal Curtis announce an-nounce the birth of a baby boy at their home. Born to Mr. and Mrs. George Faux, a son, at the Dice hospital, March 18th. Mr. and Mrs. Soren C. Nielsen are visiting their children in Nevada Ne-vada and California. Mrs. O. L. Kellett entertained the Bridge Club ladies and their ausbands last week. After enjoying the opera, "The Bohemian Girl," presented by the Snow college, the members enjoyed en-joyed a delicious hot luncheon at he home of their hostess.
