Show rp r I FAIHVIEW . i By Special Correapondence Miss Evelyn Graham, daughter of Mr. and Mnsi Maitland Gra-nam, Gra-nam, was married to Mr. Cleve Johnson, son of Mr. and Mis. August Johnson of Fountain Green. President Joseph R. Christiansen performed the ceremony cere-mony at his home, Wednesday, March 19 th. Mr. and Mrs. Maitland Gra-.iam Gra-.iam gave a reception Thursday evening in the South ward chapel cha-pel in honor of the young couple. Hannah Briggs, Fern Llewellyn Llewel-lyn and Edda Graham entertained at a shower in honor of Miss Graham last Monday night. The honor guest was the recipient of many lovely gifts. Mr. and Mrs. Henry Rasmus.sen are rejoicing over the birth of a baby boy, born to them March 13. The Primary organization of the North ward was reorganized last Sunday. Stake Primary officers of-ficers from Spring City were ;-icsunt at the meeting. The following officers were released: re-leased: Lila Graham, president; Mrs. Will Anderson, first counselor; coun-selor; Audrey Peterson, second counselor; Verda Amundsen, secretary sec-retary and treasurer. The new offirers are: President, Maoel Smith; first counselor, Lorna Tucker; second counselor, Audrey Peterson; secretary and treasurer, Hazel Peterson. A party was held Friday evening in honor of ihe outgoing officers. Mrs. Mike Amy and Mrs. Miid-rcd Miid-rcd Menzie of Castlegate were visitors in Fairview last week. A community cantata has been scheduled for Easter week in Fa.rview. The cantata is under direction of Spencer Covert, music mu-sic instructor at the Junior high school. The 17th of March celebration in Fairview this year turned out to be a big home-coming day or many of Fairview's former residents. During the celebra-I celebra-I -on at me Soum ward cnapel, a delicious hot luncheon was served serv-ed to over four hundred people. The program that was presented to this large croA'd proved very entertaining. In the evening a married folks dance was held in the Amusement hall. Among the out-of-town people who attended the event were: Mr. and Mrs. A. U. Miner, Provo; Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Carlston, Mr. and Mrs. Wells Hales, Salt Lake City; Mr. and Mrs. Ted tanderson and Mr. and Mrs. Sanders San-ders Pntchet of Pleasant Grove; Mr. and Mrs. R. E. Evans of Cas-liegate, Cas-liegate, Mr. and Mra. Glen Hansen Han-sen and Mr. and Mrs. Leo Clark ut Spring Canyon, and Mrs. Zina Caslieberry of Provo. Mr. and Mrs. Reese Bench of Provo visited with Fairview relatives rel-atives Sunday. Mr and Mrs. Robert Sundwail of Blanding were Fairview visi-.ors visi-.ors last weekend. They are lormer residents of Fairview. Mr. and Mrs. Byron Tucker of Ephraim, former residents of Fairview, announce the birth of a baby biy, March 13th. Mr. and Mrs. Roldo Brady were Price visitors Sunday. Mr. Jordan Jor-dan Brady returned home with them after having spent two .-.eeks at the nome of Mr. and Mrs. G. E. Sanders. Lee Vance entertained at a party par-ty Wednesday evening in honor of his twelfth birthday anniversary. annivers-ary. The evening was spent in piaying games and refreshments were served to eighteen guests. Mr. and Mrs. Preston Stewart were Salt Lake City visitors last week. 'Ihe annual American Legion dance will be held in the Amusement Amuse-ment hall this Stv.urday. A number num-ber of special attractions have been arranged to make this an outstanding affair. One of the main purposes of the dance is to raise money to give each of Fair-view's Fair-view's draftees ten dollars when .hey leave. Mr. and Mrs. Bernard Turpin are the proud parents of a baby coy born to them last week. Miss Martha Francom, the junior jun-ior high economic teacher, is recovering re-covering at her home this week from an attack of appendicitis. Mrs. Mary Sanderson entertained enter-tained her bridge club Wednesday afternoon. There were ten members mem-bers and two special guests present. pres-ent. The prizes wree won by Minerva Vance and Maude Hartley. Hart-ley. Mark Miner was a Fairview visitor last weekend. The North ward Mutual presented pre-sented a three-act play at the North ward amusement hall Wed nesday evening. A large crowd attended the excellent entertain-1 ,mnt. I Improvements are still going forward rapidly on the Nona ward church grounds. Some trees have been planted on the grounds this week. A good deal of grading and leveling of the grounds is now being done by aor.uled labor. Boyd and Lloyd Terry left here last week for California where they -will visit for a few weeks. Mr. and Mrs. Sylvan Peterson were Salt Lake visitors Thursday. Mr. and Mrs. Aaron Cheney and Mr. and Mrs. M. F. Tucker were visitors in Pleasant Grove Wednesday. Millie May Anderson, infant daughter of Kenneth and Bernice Wayman Anderson, died Wednes-jday Wednes-jday at the family home in Fer-ron. Fer-ron.
