Show The Nationally known Taberna-la Choir of 350 voices with the unproved great organ. 125 M. I. A. dramatic performers, the B. Y. U. symphony orchestra of 60 or more, toqother with soloists and others will present the outstanding Mendelssohn oratorio "St. Paul at Conference time. Salt Lake Tabernacle Choir to Present Oratorio "St. Paul" During the L. D. S. Conference this coming April, the Tabernacle Choir and others will present one of Felix Mendelssohn's masterpieces, mas-terpieces, the oratorio "St. Paul". More than 600 people will take part in this great event. The Tabernacle Choir numbering jo0, J. Spencer Cornwal, director, the M. I. A. with 125 dramatic performers, W. O. Robinson directing, di-recting, the Brigham Young University Uni-versity Orchestra of 60 or more under the direction of LeRoy J. Robertson, the Great Organ, and also a number of soloists and others wll combine to make this a great musical and dramaac i vent. Elaborate preparations are be-.ng be-.ng made for the presentation of this great oratorio. The stirring events and travels of the great Apostle Paul have been arranged n dramatic form by W. O. Roo- nson. Some of the scenes to be presented pre-sented are: Paul joins in persecuting perse-cuting the Christians; Stephen -Uoned; Paul is stricken blind; Paul at Antioch; Paul with Barnabas; Barn-abas; The healing of the cripple; Taken bound to Jerusalem; In the Court of Festus where Paul p.eads his own defense before Agrippa. Special lighting effects, newly designed scenery, an enlarged itage with many elaborate costumes cos-tumes will be featured in this wonderful production of the oratorio ora-torio "St. Paul." This great oratorio will be presented pre-sented on three nights, Wednesday, Wednes-day, Thursday and Friday, April 2, 3 and 4. The price of general admission will be fifty cents; a lew reserved seats may be ob-.ained ob-.ained at one dollar. |
