Show I MORONI j I By Special Correspondence 1 Born to Mr. and Mrs. Othello Lund, on October 16, a baby boy, which, only lived a short time, il'.-.'lerment was in the Moroni cemetery the same afternoon. Most impressive .funeral services servi-ces were held Sunday at 1 p. m. in the West ward chapel for Claron E. (Ted.) Anderson, age li, 'who was fatally injured last Thursday morning at the Garfield Gar-field smelter. Services were conducted! by Bishop Morris Jen-son. Jen-son. Prayers were offered by Jabez Faux and James Larsen and the speakers were as .follows: Mrs. Edwin N. Robertson, James Prestwich, a poem "A Prayer and Answer" by Mrs. Heber Christensen, President George Anderson, Bishop Ephraim Nelson Nel-son and Bishop .Morris Jenson. The musical numbers .were: a vocal duet 'No Night There" by Mrs. .Lawrence Larson and Mrs. Earl Hansen of Fountain. Green, aecQmpanieii iby Mrs. Floyd Sper-ry Sper-ry of Salt Lake City. A vocal duet toy Mrs. Elmo Irons and Mrs. Ernest Anderson accompanied accompa-nied by Mrs. Lee Reese of San-taquin. San-taquin. The combined East ard West ward choir also furnished fur-nished three .numbers. The flowers were profiuse and beautiful and the well filled chi-pel demonstrated the high esteem in which.- the family is ' held, as well as the deepest sym pathy ol everyone in their sad bereavement. Interment was in Moroni cemetery. , The West ward Sunday School has j.ust been reorganized with Harold Christensen as superintendent, superin-tendent, and Anios Draper and Royal Bagley as his counselors. The outgoing officers were Deon Livingstons, Rulon Johnson and I Amos Draper.. j Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Bunros : and daughter of Los Angeles and Mrs. Virgil Rostron and young daughter visited here last weekend week-end at the home of Mrs. John. Rostron. When they left for Salt Lake City, Mrs. Rostron and I daughter accompanied themi to enjoy a few days visit there, j IMr. and Mrs. Clair Acord of .Monticello visited here for a few .days this week. j Mrs. Arvilla Jacobson of Fountain Gree.it visited Tuesday .with relatives here. Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Revill and Mrs. Earl Bailey and son of '.Salt Lake City returned home ITnpsHav after R-nenidinc spvpral days this week j.'vitih relatives and 'friends' here. - ' The Junior Sorosis Club met last Friday, at the home of Mrs. Jake Anderson where a very interesting in-teresting talk on childrens' diseases dis-eases 'was given by Dr. Dodgson. The game '500' was played with Mrs., George Faux winning high, score prize and Mrs. James Anderson An-derson the consolation prize. A delicious luncheon .was served to ten members and two special guests. Mrs. Daisy Blaokham returned, (home last week from Los A.nig-eles A.nig-eles where she has spent the past feAr .months. Sine plans on i remaining here for the winter. I The Stake M. I. A. officers ; were all assigned to visit each of ! the 'wards of the Stake in. their regular meetings on Tuesday evening. eve-ning. All reported having spent la most enjoyable evening. ! Mr. and' Mrs. Walter Hardy announce the arrival of a grand-on, grand-on, bore, to Mr. and Mrs. Don ! Hardy at Springville October 3rd. j Mrs. Hardy 'was formerly Miss i Valetta Cloward. Mr. and Mrs. Hardy and baby spent last' Sum-day Sum-day with them aod returned home the same evening. Ted Dyches, the 4-year old son o' Mr. and Mrs. William 'Dyches o " Wales, is at the Dice hospital where he is recovering from an operation for a nuptured appendix appen-dix 'which, was performed last Saturday evening. He has been in a very serious condition but is much improved now. The program given in the West ward chapel last Sunday evening by the East Central States Mis-Monary Mis-Monary Society proved to be a bier success and was enjoyed immensely im-mensely by the large number present from both tne East and West .wards. There were twelve re'unned missionaries present: who furnished the program. Truman Anderson of Los Ang- eles is here on a visit. His main I purpose in being here is for the j deer hunt. I |
