Show Funeral Held For Christian Daniels Funeral services were held Tuesday at 1:00 p. m. in the Moroni Mo-roni East ward chapel for George Christian Daniels, who died at his home three miles east of Moroni Mo-roni onSaturday, November 28th. Bishop B. A. Childs was in charge of the serivce. Prayers were offered by Elders James Monsen of Mt. Pleasant and Daniel Anderson of Moroni. The speakers were Elder John Irons, Bishop Ephraim Nelson, and Thomas Jensen of Mt. Pleasant, Pleas-ant, all of whom paid beautiful tributes to his life and character. A vocal solo, "In The Garden of Tomorrow" was sung by Mrs. T. W. Jensen of Mt. Pleasant; a vocal vo-cal duet was rendered by Mrs. Lawrence Larsen of Moroni and Mrs. Earl Hansen of Fountain Green; a vocal duet was given by Mrs. P. J. Draper and Mrs. Elmo Irons of Moroni; all accompaniments accompani-ments were played by Mrs. Earl Blackham; A violin solo was played by Miss Marjorie Nielsen of Mt. Pleasant, accompanied by Miss Beth Anderson, also of Mt. Pleasant. The combined East and West ward choirs also furnished two numbers with Mrs. P. J. Draper as chorister and Mrs. Earl Blackham as organist. The grave in the city cemetery at Moroni was dedicated by Pres. H. C. Jacobs. A large number of people were in attendance and the many floral offerings were profuse and beautiful. George Christian Daniels, 77, "a: mer and stock raiser, was born at Copenhagen, Denmark, June 19. 18G5. son of William and Sophia So-phia Daniels. He came here in x8i4 and married Lillian Olsen on Nov. 13, 1895. Surviving are his widow; five daughters, Mrs. James Marx of Burley, Idaho; Mrs. Bardella Early of Springville; Mrs. Sophia Blake of Ely, Nevada; Mrs. Hazel Johnson of Gunnison and Mrs. Idonna Unthink of Pioche, Nev.; four sons, Daniel Daniels of Wei-ser, Wei-ser, Idaho; Isaac, Swen and Sheldon Shel-don Daniels of Mt. Pleasant; 37 grandchildren and five great grandchildren. |
