Show I MORONI I By Special Correspondence Mrs. Urvin Geo returned home Hiesday from l'rovo where she was present at the operation of her daughter, Mrs. Ronald Frand-son, Frand-son, formerly Miss Elaine Gee Mto is at present at the Utah valley hospital and is reported to be slowly improving. Dr. and Mrs. E. G. Mills of Mt. rieasant visited last Sunday with Mr. and Mrs. Newell Curtis Relatives and friends of Revus Christensen, age 19, 'son of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Christensen will regret to learn of his accident last Sunday. While hunting pheasants along with his companions com-panions his shot gun was acci-dently acci-dently discharged as he was getting get-ting into an automobile, the charge entering his body on the right side and ranging upward. The group was about 2 miles from Moroni so he Buffered a considerable loss of blood before they could reach the Dice hospital hospi-tal where he was operated on a few hours later. His condition is reported fair. Mr. and Mrs. George Young of Manti are the proud parents of a baby girl born at the Dice hospital on Oct. 22nd. Word was received Tuesday by relatives of the safe arrival of a baby boy at the home of Mr. and Mrs. John K. Guymon of Salt Lake City. He was born on November 2nd. Relatives and friends of Mr. and Mrs. Deon Livingston will regret to learn of the illness of their daughter, Lois, age 10,who is suffering from a light case of infantile paralysis. She is at present at St. Mark's hospital in Salt Lake City. Miss Lu Jean Oldroyd, daughter daugh-ter of Mr. and Mrs. Clinton Oldroyd Old-royd of Fountain Green is at the Dice Hospital where she is recovering recov-ering from an appendicitis operation opera-tion which was performed last ounday evening. The Ladies Literary club met last Wednesday evening at the home of Mrs. Bertha Blackham nere 11 members were present and also 3 special guests who were Mrs. Dodgson, Mrs. Spaf-foid Spaf-foid Sumsion and Mrs. Abrum Little. Dr. Dodgson gave a most interesting talk on "First Aid" after which a delicious turkey dinner was served. The East ward and also the West ward relief society organizations organi-zations held their conferences in their respective wards last Sunday Sun-day evening where splendid programs pro-grams were enjoyed by the large number present. They were conducted con-ducted by Mrs. Charlotte Bradley, president of the East ward and Mrs. Minerva Nelson, president of the Moroni West ward. Members Mem-bers of the Stake relief society were also in attendance. Mr. and Mrs. Newell Olson and family of Logan visited last Sunday at the home of their parents, Mr. and Mrs. Lewis Blackham. Boyce Jensen has gone to Salt Lake City where he has employment. employ-ment. His wife and children left Tuesday to visit a few days there. |
