Show The Tongue Can No Man Tame "Even so the tongue is a little member, and boasteth great things. Behold how great a matter a little fire kindleth . . . But the tongue can no man tame; it is an unruly evil, full of deadly poison." The above is a shade violent perhaps, but unfortunately unfortun-ately about as true today as when it was written in the General Epistle of James a couple of thousand years ago. (See James, Chapter 3, Verse 5 and 8.) The quotation is cited at this time because of some ' very shabby idle talk that is groveling its way around North Sanpete. Ordinarily one should not dignify such drivel by recognizing it, but in this case, gossip has been given such wide circulation and is so outrageously untrue, it is felt the thing should be scotched now before real injury in-jury is done the persons whom it purports to incriminate. Golden D. Carlston of Fairview has requested that the Pyramid publish the full facts. J Here they are: Widely circulated stories (differing in detail according to the imagination of the talebearer) have it that Golden D. Carlston, president of North Sanpete stake and others from Fairview were recently arrested by Game Warden 0. V. Anderson of Mt. Pleasant for the illegal seining sein-ing and possession of fish. Game Warden Anderson, President Carlston and others so maligned declare the stories are untrue and have no basis whatsoever in fact. |
