Show Fa'.rview Road Construction Completed Here The city of Fairview recently completed oiling, graveling and seal -coating eight aity blocks of high way at a cost of approximately approx-imately $3,500, according to Rodney Nelson, city councilman in charge of roads and side walks. The work was completed with the aid of Sanpete county highway high-way workmen and equipment. Mr. Nelson said the city is now resurfacing three blocks of side walk along main street with asphalt surface, and also constructing one block of new side walk. One half of the cost of the new side walk will be paid for by the city and the other half by property owners who have lots facing the new sid'e walk. j FAIRVIEW 1 By Miss Maciel Jensen ! Girls entering the 9th grade are eligible to become members of the club. Each girl came to school dressed as a comic trip character. charac-ter. At noon the new members formed a parade and pull'sd the tenth grade girls through the business district in coaster wagons. A special assembly under the direction of Pauline Bench was held. New members of the club are Pauline Bench, Lazon Riddle. Darlene Cheney, Joyce Tucker. Jean Bushman, Zella Rigby, Lorraine Erickson, Arlene Peterson, Peter-son, Veda Peterson, Betty Gra-' ham, Allie Graham, Cleone Peterson, Shawna Lasson. Mrs. Blance Sorensen is faculty advisor. ad-visor. The Fairview North ward Primary Pri-mary Guides entertained their mothers October 4. The chief of the class opened with salute. Teacher Ruby Clement gave .the lesson, boys duties were read read and explained. Mothers presented boys with their em-blerhs-The arrow. Lauy Barney-gave Barney-gave closing prayer. ' Mrs. Herber L. Mower ha.1 just received word announcing the death of her only aunt Hannah Elmina Sanders. Originally Orig-inally from here. She was b.orr Feb. 20, 1862 in Mt. Pleasant She passed away Sept. 29. 9? at asa Arizona. She is the mot'-'-' of -ten living children. She married John Frank Sander? who has been deceased for some1 time.
