Show I I SPRING CITY ! By Special Correspondence 1 Mr. and Mrs. George Allred of Spring City, Utah announce the marriage of their daughter, Gwenna to Sergeant Wilford Bauer, son of Mr. and Mrs. William Wil-liam Bauer of Enterprise, Utah. The marriage took place Monday, Mon-day, June 12, 1944 in the Manti L D S temple. An uncle, Pratt Allred performed the marriage ceremony. The bride is a graduate of the Snow Junior College and the Brigham Young university, where she was a member of the Gamma Gam-ma Phi Omicion Honorary Home Economics Sorority. For the past two years she taught in the Pleasant Grove High School. Sergeant Bauer has been in the Army for the past two years, six months of which he served in the Aleutian Islands. He is stationed at Camp Hale, Colorado. Immediately after the ceremony cere-mony the young couple will j leave for Southern Utah for a brief honeymoon. After which Sgt. Bauer will return to camp. The ward Relief Society has charge of the Fathers' Day program pro-gram to be presented in Sacrament Sacra-ment meeting Sunday. All ward Fathers will have special invitations. invita-tions. President Mrs. Bergetta Jensen will be in charge. Mrs. Virgus Osborne and Mrs. Vero Aiken are in charge of the program pro-gram and Mrs. Ada Ellis of the tokens to be presented. A caretaker has been employed at the local cemetery. Committees Commit-tees selected to canvas districsts for funds are: Mrs. Betsy Bertle-sen, Bertle-sen, Mrs. Alva Schofield, Mrs. Emma Sorensen, Mrs. Lola Sor-ensen, Sor-ensen, Mrs. Crystal Aiken, Mrs. Jean Puzey, Mrs. Elva Allred, Mrs. La Sern Jensen, Mrs. Libbie Allred, Mrs. La Von Allred, Mrs. Lavon L. Allred, Mrs. Iris Allred, Mrs. Vurleen Osborne, Mrs. Francis Fran-cis Osborne, Mrs. Bernice Donaldson, Donald-son, Mrs. Virgus Osborne and Mrs. Vero Aiken. Mrs. Charlotte Schofield entertained enter-tained at a quilting party, Thursday Thurs-day afternoon. Eugent and Golden Dean Terry returned home Wednesday after visiting with their sister, Mrs. Frank Acord at Ogden. Mrs. Mary Jensen entertained a large group of relatives and friends at a birthday party Wednesday Wed-nesday afternoon. Service men arriving home for furloughs with their parents are: Lyle Blain, son of Mr. and Mrs. James W. Blain and Darwin All-red, All-red, son of Mr. and Mrs. Lee All-red. All-red. They were accompanied by their wives, who have been with their husbands. Lorenzo Aiken is spending Fathers Day with his son, Archie Aiken and family at Tooele, U-tah. U-tah. Mrs. Dona Rae Allred Osborne, and Mr. and Mrs. Pratt Osborne have received word of the safe arrival of husband and son, Lt. Orson D. Osborne in the States. He has filled 50 flying missions over enemy territory while he was stationed in the Mediterranean Mediter-ranean area. He has been officially of-ficially credited with having shot down three enemy planes. |
