Show Ed Johnston Offers P.O. Fixtures To L.D.S. Hospital Proceeds from the sale of the fixtures at the Mt. Pleasant post office will be turned over to the Sanpete LDS hospital building fund. The fixtures which will be sold upon the arrival of new ones are owned by Ed Johnston of Riverside, Calif., and a former for-mer resident of Mt. Pleasant. In a letter to Ray K. Bohne and Burke McArthur, Mr. Johnston John-ston stated he understood the government was intending to install fixtures at the post office and he was therefore offering the present ones to the hospital funds committee, either to use or to sell. Fixtures listed are as follows: Window Units with signs and cash drawers, Money Order-Postal Order-Postal Savings, and Registry Window, Blank Panel Units fitted with lock boxes nested as follows: 3 No. 767-C-5, 1 No. 769-E.5. 1 No. 765-A4 containing 108 small lock boxes; blank panel unit for additional lock boxes; letter & package drop units; I Roll Top desk, 1 wood table, 1 metal cancelling table with pad, 3 pouch racks, 2 parcel par-cel post cases, 1 high stool, 2 wood seat chairs, 1 rotary chair with arms, 1 parcel post bag rack. 1 wardrobe, 1 lobby desk 1 bulletin board, 4 wire waste baskets, 1 typewriter stand; 1 1 Form Cabinet on base, 1 temporary table with trestle, 1 electric wall clock, 1 dumping table with pad, 1 table with drawers. 1 envelope cabinet. 1 small table, 1 stamp cabinet, 1 combination letter paper General Gen-eral Delivery cabinet, 1 table for general delivery case, 1 safe. |
