Show FOUNTAIN GREEN I By Special Correspondence I Mr. and Mrs. La Voy Coombs and children, David and Betty Jean of Salt Lake City visited recently with their parents, Mr. and Mrs. George E. Coombs. The Stitch and Chat club members mem-bers were the guests of Mrs. Leona Mower Tuesday afternoon at her home. A dance and program was given Thursday evening in the Amusement Hall in honor of Cpl. Colin Green, Cpl. Max Livingston, Livings-ton, Cpl. Loyd Frandsen and Pfc. Everet Johnson, who have been overseas. The party was given under the direction of the American Ameri-can Legion and the City Officials. Arthur Hansen, son of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Hansen, is spending his furlough with his parents, before be-fore leaving for a new assignment. assign-ment. He has spent the past two years in Alaska. Miss Elinor Hansen, daughter of Mrs. Luvina Hansen of Salt Lake City, is visiting with friends in Fountain Green. Mrs. Minnie Olsen is visiting in Idaho Falls, Idaho the guest of her son, Newel and family. Miss Edis Hansen of Salt Lake City is visiting 'Aith her parents, Mr. and Mrs. J. L. Hansen. Sgt. and Mrs. Alden Stanley of Salt Lake City spent Sunday with Mrs. Stanley's mother, Mrs. Gladys Winters. Her two sisters, Betty and Vaunile Winters accompanied ac-companied them home. Mrs. A. A. Anderson and daughter, daugh-ter, Avis were Provo visitors on Tuesday. Mrs. R. P. Larsen of Moroni visited Sunday with relatives in Fountain Green. The Moroni Stake Primary association as-sociation has been reorganized with the following officers: President, Presi-dent, Mrs. La Von Coombs; First Counselor, Mrs. Francell Hansen; Second Counselor, Mrs. Macel Anderson; Secretary, Mrs. Etehl Jensen. Other vacances in the Board has not yet been filled. A very inspirational and well attended Quarterly Conference was held in Fountain Green Aug. 25 and 26. The vsiting speakers were Ezra Benson of the Council of Twelve and Elder Knowlton of the Church Welfare Department. Depart-ment. Mr. Embro Bendixon and family fam-ily of Levan, visited Sunday at the home of Mrs. Gladys Winters. Mrs. Irene A. Hansen recently returned from Oakland, where she visited with her husband, Cpl. H. Elwood Hansen, visited Saturday with relatives in Spring City. She was accompanied by her daughter, Vicky Lee. Cpl. Emerson Cook and his crew of the B-29 has left for the Pacific. He is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas H. Cook. The two-year old daughter of Mr and Mrs. Harry Johnson is reported to be very ill with Rheumatic Rheu-matic fever. Mrs. Betty R. Allred and daughter daugh-ter of Mt. Pleasant visited during the week at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Howard Allred. Mrs. Mary J. Rees of Salt Lake City has left for her home, having hav-ing visited recently with relatives. |
