Show FOUNTAIN GREEN 1 By Special Correspondence ' Mrs. Maeel Anderson visited during the week with relatives .n Salt Lake City and Provo. Born to Mr. and Mrs. Loren Crowther, twins, a boy and a girl, March 6th. The twins, Elna and Eliis Barnes, born to Mr. and Mrs. Ned Sparks of Nephi last week, died in a Salt Lake hospital. The babies were born prematurely at Nephi last Wednesday. An effort ef-fort was made to keep them alive by taking them to a Salt Lake hospital for special attention. atten-tion. The one hundred mile trip was made in a private car with the infants bundled in hot water bottles and with oxygen being administered. The parents are Mr. and Mrs. Ned Barnes of Ne-ehi. Ne-ehi. Mrs. Barnes before her marriage was Miss Doris Mikkel-o:i Mikkel-o:i of Fountain Green. Bodies of :he infants were taken to Ne-pir. Ne-pir. for burial. The opera "In Old Louisiana" was presented by the Moroni a gh school under the direction of James Jameson in the Fountain Foun-tain Green Theater building on Monday evening. Several stud-;nts stud-;nts irom this city took leading roles. The National Guard Army :aeid of Ephraim under the direction di-rection of Warrant Officer MU-on MU-on Perkins gave a concert Tuesday Tues-day afternoon in the municipal ouilding. Ballard Christensen and Leo Mowers of this city are members of this band. Miss Wanda Robertson who is eaching at the Stewart Training School at Salt Lake City, visited during the weekend with her sislers, Mrs. Ora Draper and Mrs. Macel R. Anderson and families. Mrs. Ora Mayer was hostess to her club members at a luncheon lunch-eon at her home Saturday evening. eve-ning. Mrs. Rachel Aagard of Provo is visiting relatives in Fountain Green. Mrs. Mary E. Holman is visit-ng visit-ng in Santaquin, the guest of her daughter, Mrs. Zola Allen. Mrs. H. V. Yorgason has received re-ceived word that her son Gayle, who has been laboring as a missionary mis-sionary for the L. D. S. church in the North Western States for the past two years, has been re-. re-. eased and will arrive home Sunday, Sun-day, March 16. Mr. and Mrs. Hyrum Anderson Ander-son and Mrs. Verda Lund attended attend-ed the Snow College opera "The Bohemian Girl" at Ephraim on Tuesday evening. A very fine program has been arranged for the annual Relief Society Day which will be held Tuesday afternoon March 18th. Following the program a banquet will be given for all members in the City Hall. Three blocks of pave and gutter work on Main Street will begin Wednesday by order of the city officials. |
