Show Ephraim State's Safest Town Your best bet to avoid an automobile accident during the upcoming Labor Day holiday is to spend the weekend cruising the streets of Ephraim. According to a report issued this week by the Utah Safetly council, hardly anything in the way of traffic accidents, that is happened in Ephraim from January 1, 1949 to June 30, 1949. In fact the South Sanete community's com-munity's safety record was tops lor Utah communities between 2.000 and 3,000 population dur-jing dur-jing the first six months of this year, according to the safety council's report. Of the 12 cities listed in the 2.000 3,000 category, Ephraim showed only 1.43 accidents per 1,000 poplation, or three accidents acci-dents in the six month's period. None of the accidents was fatal and no one was injured. Only casualities were bruised fenders and crushed radiators which accounted ac-counted for an estimated ecomic loss of $4S0 for the three acci dents. Mt. Pleasant stood fourth in the six-month safety rating with a total of eight accidents in which eight persons were injured in-jured and estimated economic loss from property damage a-mounted a-mounted to S3.2S0.
