ELDER MARVIN J. Ash-m Ash-m of the Council ol Twelve, officiated. Hk bride is the daughter of President and Mrs. Robert J. Slamn, 3489 South 325 West, Bountiful. She is a graduate t! Viewmont High School and 3 attending Brigham Young University. THE BRIDEGROOM is the ! sonofMr.and Mrs. George T. ! Thornton, of 22 South 300 East. North Salt Lake. He is a graduate of Viewmont High School and after serving an LDS mission to Alaska-British Columbia attended the University of Utah. A wedding breakfast was hosted by the bridegroom's parents at the Red Flame Restaurant. THE BRIDE'S parents Bsled the reception at the Carillon. The bride was attired in a town of Chantilly lace. The wiice was fitted at the waist nh a high, ruffled, lace collar trimmed with ribbon ffld pearls. The sleeves were and full and were dimmed with pearls. The im was made of three tiers iN with five inch lace on ' sicii tier with irridescent sequins. The bride carried a bouquet l peach-tipped carnations, f roses, white mums and ' breath. THE MAID of honor, Miss Eiaine Gunnell, wore a long t green dress. The two stenuids, Colleen Bemis a! Janell White, and the :ior bridesmaid, Juli !I"iih, all wore long soft lKolored dresses. The flower girls, Heather thanan and Tracy Lee, green dresses to match Mid of honor. THE MOTHERS were at--Jfd in long polyester ssses. The bride's mother "e a soft green and the !rgroom's mother wore a fadi color dress. 8'st man duties were Redout by Jim Thornton, bridegroom's brother. r The ushers were Bob Martin, John Thornton, Mark Reynolds, and Gary Birrell. PRENUPITAL parties were given by Mrs. D. R. Martin, Mrs. Henry Smith, Juli Smith, Elaine Gunnell, Colleen Bemis, Janell White, Mrs. LeeAnn Hunt, Mrs. Jolyn Mills, Mrs. Ethel Ray, Mrs. Myrtice Jardine and Linn Jardine. After a honeymoon to Canada, the couple will make their home in Provo. |
