Show Plans Made To Build Wasatch Hall Next Year Hungerfoid Hall, Administration building of Wasatch academv, which was destroyed by fire on April 4 v,-ill not be rebuilt this summer according to advices received re-ceived here Wednesday from the New York office cf the Presbyterian Presbyter-ian Beard of National Missions under un-der whose auspices the local institution in-stitution is conducted. It is announced, an-nounced, however, that planning will begin immediately for a mr.d-ein mr.d-ein plant to be erected by the opening cf th; following 'school year. The new bu.lding will occupy the same site as the old structure and the razing of all standing walls has been ordered. Work on the project will begin within ' the next week. To provide adequate housing facilities fa-cilities during the coming ' year Darlington Hall, one of the boys' dormitories, is being remodelled for class room and office use, the entire building to be devoted to instructional purposes. Other rooms on the campus wiE be made a-vailable a-vailable for classes by reducing the boarding enrollment to one hundred students. The day enrollment enroll-ment has been set at sixty students, stu-dents, making a total maximum registrant n of sixty-five pupils less than the school's capacity. Superintendent W. K. Throndson announces that the reduction in pupils will not mean a reduction in the teaching force as all teachers teach-ers for the coming year have been employed with the exception oi two vacancies yet to be filled. The opening date of school is scheduled for September 11, on i week later than usual, to allow additional time for arranging the new quarters. |
