Show JAY E. LARSON Jay E. Larsen Joins Service Jay E. Larson, who until recently re-cently resided in Spring City, Utah, with his parents, John H. and Anna V. Larson, realized an ambition of long standing yesterday yester-day when he was enlisted at Fort Douglas, Utah, for the U. S. Army Air Corps. He will be stationed at March Field, California, where he is assured an opportunity to pursue both a theoretical and practical study of aviation mechanics, mech-anics, which has long been his wish. Based on the written recommendation recom-mendation of his friends and turner employers, including Mr. James W. Blain, Principal of the Spring City Junior High school, the U. S. Army Recruiting Office in Salt Lake City received special authority from the Air Base Headquarters at March Field to enlist Larson for an Air Corps squadron at the station. This authorization was received on November 20th and his enlistment enlist-ment was consummated on the 22nd. Larson will leave for his new station immediately following follow-ing the Thanksgiving holiday which he will spend with his parents who now reside at 709 South 6th EaBtjieet, Salt Lake City. |
