Show i i I FAIRVIEW I By Special Correspondence Fairview Ward Bishop Named The Fairview North ward Bishopric Bish-opric was reorganized here by the siake presidency Sunday in connection con-nection with the annual ward conference. Golden Carlston was sustained as the new bishop, succeeding Henry W. Jones. Stanley Brady was selected as first counselor; Sylvan Syl-van Peterson, second counselor;; and Val Dean Stewart, ward clerk. They succeed, in order named, Allie L. Carlston, William E. Rigby and Albert M. Stewart. Bishop Henry W. Jones has served as bishop in the ward for the past 11 years and for the past 19 has been a member of the ward bishopric. It was during the time that these men were in charge tnat the old chapel was razed and the new structure built. The ward Primary gave the program at the South ward Nov-emDer Nov-emDer i2 a pageant was given and the children did very well -vviLii their pari-. A iaige audience was present and enjoyed the entertainment. . The P. T. A. gave a very successful suc-cessful meeting in the high school Thursday evening, president presi-dent Ray Mills was in charge. The program was given by the Mt. Pleasant school faculty, several sev-eral of the teachers spoke and Terrys swing band gave excellent excell-ent music. Gerald Erickson sang a vocal solo. The program was followed by dancing. The busy nine club was entertained en-tertained by Mrs. Caroline Mad-sen Mad-sen last week. Mrs. Lizzie Lassen entertained them at a kensington November 17th. A pleasant social afternoon was spent. Mr. and Mrs. Farrel Madsen and Mr. and Mrs. Harry Sund-wall Sund-wall of Provo spent Thanksgiving Thanks-giving in Fairview. All. the students stud-ents from the B. Y. U. and Uie A. C. were home this week end tor Thanksgiving. Mrs. Mae Jensen of Elsinore and daughter are visiting here. Mr. and Mrs. Do.: Hansen and children from Salt Lake are visiting visit-ing relatives in Fa 1 view this week. Bishop and Mrs. Burns have gone to Arizona and wal go u California before they return.
