Show Ferron CCC Camp News Many members of the Ferron Camp have been disabjarged during tbe past week beoause of having secured private employment, while many others have made arrange-iients arrange-iients for employment immediately immedi-ately upon their discharge at the end of this enrollment period. Fred Tatton of Orangeville secured em- loyment as a truck driver on a route between Price and Salt Lake City; Clark Funk rwas discharged to cperate a chicken farm in Rochester; Roches-ter; Clive Worthen was employed on road construction work in Moroni; Mo-roni; Orion Mortensen, Jose Jensen, Fay Nielsen and LaVar Petersen have jobs awaiting them upon their discharge on March 31st. Over sixty six-ty men will be discharged by the end of this month because enrollment enroll-ment is not pen .witter after mere t'nan eighteen months of service. Second Cook Leonard Mower was sent to Fort Douglas to study cook- ng under the supervision of the 38th Infantry of the V. S. Army tationed at Fcrt Douglas. CCC The Ferron Camp has made ar-ingements ar-ingements for a celebration in honor of the mambers of the Company Comp-any who are leaving after many months of excellent service. Plans "ave been made to have a chicken Tinner this Friday . evening and a :'J.Timnity dance Saturday night in t'ne local high school gymnasium. CCC Liuetenant and Mrs. Anderson and Superintendent and Mrs. War-the War-the returned from, an extended tour through southern Utah and California. Included amtong the interesting places they visited were Zion National Park, Boulder Dam, Tijuana. Mexico, the San Capis-trano Capis-trano Mission, HollytsVood, and the m Francisco World's Fair. |
