Luncheon was served in the basement of the church. "Wruat the Relief Society Has Done For Me," written by Mrs. Alice Housekeeper, was read by Sylvia Miner; essay, "What the Relief Society So-ciety Has Done For Me" written by Jessie Stansfield Christensen, was read by Mrs. Calvin Ericksen; vocal vo-cal solo. Mrs. Hazel Schofield; reading, read-ing, Mrs. E. H. Anderson; reading, Mrs. Calvin Erickson; song, Mrs. Vern Bills and company; duet, Mrs. Ellen Peterson and Mrs. Doris Cox; reading, Mrs. Harold Erickson; piano pi-ano duet, Mrs. Herman Sanderson and Mrs. Arthur Day; stunt by Mrs. Vern Jensen and Mrs. Myron Tu cker; Mrs. ur.arles R. wieison ana Airs. Among the 'out of town quests were: Mr. and Mrs. George W. Tucker, Mis. Lavon Robertson, Mrs. Wilmet Ticker of Provo; Mr. and Mrs. John Housekeeper ol Cot-tunwood, Cot-tunwood, Mrs. Enid Housekeeper of frovo and Mrs. Morley of Price. In the essay contest of the Relief Society a nuirjjer of essays were written. Mrs. Alice Housekeeper oi the South ward and Mrs. Jessie oansfield Christensen of the Noru. ward, won first places. Judges were Mr. John McCallister, Mrs. Alvin Day and Blain Vance. The essays were judged for contents, construction, construc-tion, originality, grara-xar and style. Worth Bench, son of Mr. and Mrs. John L. Bench, returned this week fro.n a two year's mission in the Eastern States. A welcome home party will be held Saturday evening in his honor. A program will be given in the South ward and dancing will take place In the Amusement Hall. The last session of Conference held in Fairview Sunday, consisted of a beautiful program of music and song under the direction of Charles Schmidt. Several piano numbers were played by Chester Hill. Following conference Sunday evening eve-ning a few friends went to the soM of Mr. and Mrs. P. M. Peterson Peter-son where they enjoyed a musical festival consisting of piano numbers by Chester Hill of Fayette, and vocal vo-cal nuxtoers by Mrs. T. W. Jensen of Mt. Pleasant. |
