Show Local News Sunday visitors at the Joseph Larson home were Mr. and Mrs. Kendall Rasmussen and daughter Christene of Idaho Falls, Ida, Mr. and Mrs. Martin S. Christiansen Chris-tiansen were weekend visitors at Emery with their daughter and son-in-law, Carol and Bernard Swenson and family. They returned return-ed home by way of Salina and en-route en-route visited with Mr. and Mrs. George Belliston' at Nephi. Mr. and Mrs. Eugene Garrett of Los Angeles are guests this week at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Harry S. Richards and family. The Garrett's Gar-rett's came here to attend the marriage mar-riage and reception of Miss Zoe Fisher and James H. Richards on Wednesday in Salt Lake City where Mr. Garrett assumer best man duties for his friend. Mr. and Mrs. Don Mack Dalton on Sunday afternoon attended the ceremony in Salt Lake City where i Mr. Dalton's aunt, Mrs. Luella Adams Dalton of Parowan, received receiv-ed the honor of being named as Utah's outstanding Mother of the Year. The presentation of the trophy tro-phy was made by Gov. J. Bracken Lee in the University Ward chapel. cha-pel. Also a speaker was Mrs. La-vina La-vina C. Fugal, last year's American Amer-ican Mother of the Year. Mrs. Dalton Dal-ton will represent Utah at the nationwide na-tionwide competition in New York May 7 to 10. The Hoyt family has occupied oc-cupied an apartment in the Golden Peay home on 1st west. Complimenting Com-plimenting their departure, close neighbors entertained at a children's child-ren's picnic for the two young girls Wednesday at the home of Jessie Shoell and on Thursday evening Mrs. Hoyt was a guest of Mrs. Kent Anderson and Mrs. Shoell at the Grove Theatre. Mr. Hoyt left for California about six weeks ago and his wife and daughtters will now join him. |
