Show THE MAYOR REPORTS Mayor Edward C. Roberts calls attention to the annual city-wide cleanup day scheduled for Wednesday, Wednes-day, April 25. Business houses are urged to close during the afternoon, after-noon, and all citizens invited to cooperate co-operate fully with the program. From 2 to 6 p.m. on cleanup day, the city will hold 'open house' at the sewer disposal plant. All Pleasant Grove residents are invited invit-ed to inspect the new facility the Mayor said. City personnel will be present to conduct groups of citizens citi-zens and explain the disposal process. pro-cess. A committee of three city coun-cilmen coun-cilmen have been appointed to work in cooperation with a similar group from the Associated Businessmen, Busi-nessmen, to serve in an advisory capacity in the construction of the new Highway 91 Interchange. They are Mayor Roberts, Lewis Harmer, and S. Christensen. Sewer construction is now complete, com-plete, except for the final cleanup clean-up and the preparation of roadbeds road-beds for the street construction. At Monday night's council meeting, meet-ing, Ann Deveraux and Errol Christiansen applied for permits to open and operate the Red Hut and Bill's Tavern, respectively. Both applications were denied. Plans are now being drawn for ine consirucixion or sanitary resc-rooms resc-rooms at the City Park. The building build-ing of block construction will be modem in every respect. It is hoped hop-ed to have the facility ready for Strawberry Day. |
