Grove Community Fair Friday, 1 2 Noon; Everybody is invited Tomorrow, Friday, Sept. 18 at 12 noon, the numerous exhibits of the Pleasant Grove Community Commun-ity Fair will open to the public. As has become customary over the years, the event is being sponsored by the Pleasant Grove Lions Club. Past Presidents Merrill Mer-rill N. Warnick and C. A. Ras-mussen Ras-mussen are directing 'as co-chairmen. In addition to the displays of fruits, vegetables, canned goods, hobbies, fine art and needlework, the Garden Club sponsored Flower Flow-er Show and the DOT Birthday Party and open house will add interest to the event. Separate fairs for the children child-ren will also be staged at the Central and Groveorest Elementary Elemen-tary Schools. , The hour by hour program of the day's activities, according to publicity chairman 'S. A. Kirk, is as follows: 7 to 9 a.m., placing of 'ex-v 'ex-v hibits of fruits, produce, fine art, hobbies and needlework on tables in the Junior High gymnasium. , 7 to 9 a.m., receiving and arranging ar-ranging entries for the fall Flower Flow-er Show, also in the gymnasium. 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Elementary School Fairs open to the public. 9 a.m. to 12, judging of exhibits ex-hibits of fruits, produce, fine art, hobbies and needlecraft. 9 a.m. to 12 noon, judging of Flower Show exhibits. 12 noon to 8 p.m. General Fair exhibits and Flower Show open to public. 2 to 3 p.m., special program presented by area chapters of DUP in the Pioneer Relic Hall. 3 to 6 p.m. open house and Birthday party, at DUP Relic Hall. According to O. M. Shoemaker president of the local Dions Club, all residents, both young and old, of the Pleasant Grove area are cordially invited to attend the fair and join in the spirit of the community festival. "Come out and see what our people are doing to make this a better and more interesting place in which to live," he emphasized. |
