Show Lindon Organizes Commission to Plan for Future A newly organized Lindon Planning Plan-ning Commission is now functioning function-ing in the Lindon area. Kenneth R. Gillman, representative of the City Council, held the first meeting at his home. The city ordinance governing this commission, its duties and powers was read. The group voted Joseph Ash as chairman and Kenneth Ken-neth H. Gillman, secretary Other members are Kenneth E. Harris, Arnold Hooley, LeGrand Ercanbrack, & Carl Remund. They voted to have the two members serve a one year term. This short term will expire Dec. 31, 1955. Other members will serve for three years. This is so there will be experienced members on the board at all times. TKe city council coun-cil representative will serve for the duration of his term of office. They have voted to have the building inspector Clifford Johnson John-son meet with them on the third Thursday of each month. It was also decided to ' send a copy of their meeting minutes to the City Council. This will keep the council-men council-men informed as to what is being accomplished and what is recommended recom-mended for the betterment of the Lindon area. |
