Show Farmers Urged to Order Trees Now For Early Planting Now is the time for Utah County Coun-ty fanners. to order 'their woodlot, windbreak or shelter belt trees from Utah State Agricultural College, Col-lege, reminds Clair R. Acord, county coun-ty agricultural agent. Mr. Acord has order blanks for this purpose. Farmers must order at least 25 trees of any kind desired. de-sired. This year six softwood and eleven hardwood species are available, avail-able, ranging in price from $1.50 to $4.00 per 100 trees. Softwood trees available include eastern red cedar, rocky mountain juniper, Utah juniper, ponderosa pine, blue spruoe, and douglas fir. Hardwoods include green ash, Siberian Sib-erian elm, blacklocust, honeylo-cust, honeylo-cust, Russian olive, black walnut, golden willow, lombardy poplar, common lilac, Japanese rose, and squaw bush. Farmers must agree to protect trees from fire, grazing or other injury. They must cultivate and irrigate them for the first four years. Upon request, cooperators must furnish a report to the college col-lege showing the condition of all trees they received and planted. No such trees may be resold as rooted stock or used for ornamental orna-mental purposes.
