Baseball Club Slates Meeting For Thursday Baseball enthusiasts of the PI. Grove area are cordially invited to attend an organization meeting at 8 p.m. Thursday, February 28, in the fireman's room of the City Hall. The call was issued by Orval Carter, president of the local Central Cen-tral Utah baseball club. According to Mr. Carter, the marked success of Pleasant Groves 1956 Central Utah team is evidence evi-dence that with good support, the 1957 team will be a serious contender con-tender this coming year. The purpose of the February 28 meeting will be to discuss last year's activities, elect officers and to make preliminary plans for the 1957 campaign. Lew Robinson, last year's manager man-ager and Doug Hoopes, 1956 secretary sec-retary and assistant manager, will assist Mr. Carter in effecting the l e-organi z ation . A good representative attendance attend-ance is requested, Mr. Carter said.
