Show Legion Auxiliary Hears Talk on Mexican Culture The monthly mee'JjLg of the American Legion Auxiliary was held at the home of Mis. Rose Radmall May 20 under the direction direc-tion of Auxiliary President Geneve Gen-eve J. Dalton. Mrs. Arvilla Harvey, poppy chairman, discussed plans and made assignments for Poppy Day in Pleasant Grove on Saturday, May 25. Mrs. Dalton gave a report and made a check on the flag selling project that has been earned on during April and May. The new officers elected May 1 were installed by Mrs. Hannah Matthews, past district president of District IV. The feature of the evening was an interesting and informative talk by Mrs. Geraldine Wiemer on Mexico. Mex-ico. She told of the past history of Mexico and of the ancient ruins that exist there. Also she told of the customs and work of the people of today. She showed many pieces of their handicraft in basketry, weaving, pottery and jewelry. Refreshments were served by the hostess, Mrs. Radmall. |
