Show Christmas Tree Sales Are Law Controlled It is that time of the year to think about purchasing of Christ -mas trees. All c.itU'ens are re-' re-' minded that each tree offered for I sale, sold or given away must be tagged to show compliance with the law. Forester Bill Poulson suggests that every purchaser of a Christmas Christ-mas tree look for a tag that should be displayed as evidence that the tree was legally obtained. Poulsen pointed out that the law reads "pessission -within the state of Utah, of an untagged Christmas Christ-mas tree will bo prima facie ovi denee of violation of State law and .will subject the person or persons- in possession of an untagged un-tagged tree or treas to prosecution prosecu-tion for a misdemeanor." Potilsen said that the U.S. For est Service-, Bureau of Land Management, Man-agement, Fish and Game Department, Depart-ment, State Land Board, or commercial com-mercial tag's are valid. For trees procured from private lands, the Department of Forestry issues the ,tags to be used.
