Show "Improved Business Through Seer Service" is Theme of PI. ds. Christmas Turlcey Days "Improved Business Through Better Service" will be the theme of Pleasant Grove's fourth annual an-nual "Christmas Turkey Days," sponsored, by the business and . professional men and women of Pleasant Grove and directed by Better Business Committee of the Chamber of Commerce. "The rapid and substantial in crease in the population of Pleasant Pleas-ant Grove indioates that there are numerous physical resources and facilities here that people want and enjoy," said Junius A. West, chairman of the Chamber of Commerce Com-merce better business group. It should be the aim of our retail salts, service institutions and professional people, that pric- es and services are on a par with our other residential advantages in Pleasant Grove, Mr. West added. add-ed. In keeping with these objectives plans are currently being formulated formul-ated to make the 1960 Christmas Turkey Days an epoch making -event. If hard work and mutual cooperation mean anything theso objectives will be realized. The "Days" will open officially on Thursday, Dec. 1 and close Friday, Dec. 23. During this period per-iod business houses will make an effort, not only to sell top quality quali-ty merchandise at competitive prices, but also to sell a bit of v good will as well. Homefolks and others who shop in Pleasant Grove will also find other advantages. Seventy-five prime Tom Turkeys will be a-' a-' warded to holders of the lucky shopping tickets. Businessmen will pass out one ticket for each dollar spent for goods or services. .Fifteen prize birds will be passed pass-ed out on Saturday, Dec. 10; 25 on Saturday, Dec. 17 and on Friday, Fri-day, Dec. 23, 35 toothsome Christmas Christ-mas birds will find a new home. Shoppers need not be present at the drawings. For the small fry, Old Saint Nick will be in and about town on the afternoons of Dec. 10, 17, and 23 and will listen to the requests re-quests of children of all ages.
