Show Speech Contests Winners Are Named by MIA Mpst all of the Ward MIA groups of Timpanogos Stake held their speech contest last Tuesday Tues-day evening. The theme of the speeches as given out by the general gen-eral board is "For it must needs be, that there is opposition in all thing." 2nd Nephi, 2:11. The wards picked their contestants, con-testants, and each met an opposing op-posing ward as follows: Second and Fourth Ward, Jean-nine Jean-nine Hunt, Second Ward, 1st place, her speech director, Max-ine Max-ine West, Norene Tumbow, 4th Ward, second place, speech director, direc-tor, Dorothy Covington. First and Fifth Wards: 1st place, Carma White, 5th Ward, speech director Estelle Fenton; 2nd place, Judy Jolley, 1st Ward, speech director, Joann Brady. Grove and Seventh Ward: 1st place, Barbara S. Harvey, Grove Ward, speech director Ella Larson; Lar-son; 2nd place, Nadine Walker, Seventh Ward, director Darlene Parker. Third and Sixth Wards: 1st place, Karen Fugal, Third Ward, director, Nancy Walker; 2nd place, Vance Joel West, Sixth Ward, Vance is also speech director. direc-tor.
