Show Lindon Lions Met Last Friday for Business Meeting The Lindon Lions met at the Community Park building Friday evening, Oct. 7, with vice president presi-dent Owen Hooley conducting the monthly banquet and business meeting and his wife in charge of refreshments. Deciding among themselves that decorating the inside of the Community Com-munity building would be their next project, they planned a work meeting for Wednesday, Oct. 19, to start the new project. A serviceable floor covering will be laid over the cement floors to facilitate cleaning, walls will be painted, and acoustic tile will be installed on the ceiling to make the building more enjoyable. To add color and warmth to the immense room, the Lions will hang drapes at the windows. After the business the Lions and their wives enjoyed a fine speaker, State Trooper Melvin Grant of American Fork, who spoke on radar ra-dar and explained the operation of a radar set he had brought along with him. |
