Show Funeral Rites Held Saturday for Verona Holdaway The Timpanogos Stake House was well filled on Saturday afternoon after-noon by sorrowing relatives and friends who came to pay last tribute tri-bute of respect to the memory of Verona Boren K. Holdaway and express love and sympathy for the family. The impressive ceremony began at 1:30 with Bishop Lewis Harmer of the First Ward officiating. offic-iating. Prior to the church service, prayer at the Mortuary was led by Dr. Talmage M. Thomson. The service opened with a vocal solo, "In My Father's House Are Many Mansions," by Warren Kirk, accompanied by Mrs. Kirk. Invocation Invo-cation was offered by Robert Mar-rott, Mar-rott, and was followed by a vocal duet, "Beyond the Sunset," by Jean Walker and Patricia Seely, accompanied by Laurel Thorne. Speakers who paid tribute to the memory of Mrs. Holdaway and spoke words of faith and encouragement encour-agement to her family were Donna O. Ash, a close friend, and Dr. Lloyd L .Cullimore, in whose office Mrs. Holdaway wras a nurse for several years. vV-jluy Gammon, fanner bishop and close friend, also spoke. These speakers were interspersed intersper-sed by an organ solo by Hal Haycock. Hay-cock. After closing remarks of tribute and appreciation by Bishop Bish-op Harmer, the filial number, "Until "Un-til the Dawn," was sung by the Allen Brothers; Elwood, Taylor, Don and Leo, accompanied by Mrs. Taylor Allen. Prelude and postlude organ music mu-sic was played by Hal Haycock, and benediction was pronounced by Joseph Beveridge of the bishopric. bish-opric. Interment, directed by Olpin-Sundberg Olpin-Sundberg Mortuary, was made in the Pleasant Grove City Cemetery, Ceme-tery, where Theron Kirk offered the dedicatorial prayer. Pallbearers, all relatives, were Johnny Butt, Earl Holdaway, David Boren, Allan Adamson, Kayle Kirk and Kirk Tolman.
