Show Funeral Held For James Anderson Funeral services were conducted conduct-ed Thursday afternoon in the First Ward chapel for James Anderson, who died earlier in the week at his home on Locust Avenue. The opening number "O my Father" was sung by Mrs. S. W. Hilton and Elwood Allen, accompanied accom-panied by Mrs. Floyd Randall. Invocation was offered by Merrill Mer-rill Williams, a brother-in-law Speaker offering tributes to the memory of Mr. Anderson were H. S. Walker, former Bishop of Grove ward, and Oscar Evans and Eugene Hilton, with closing remarks re-marks of sympathy and appreciation apprecia-tion by Bishop Bullock. Interspersing the speakers was a piano solo "Beyond The Sunset" by LaRae Anderson, a granddaughter; grand-daughter; Mrs. Robert Hilton and Mrs. Eugene Hilton sang the closing clos-ing number "The Lord is my Shepherd." Shep-herd." Mrs. Floyd Randall accompanied ac-companied all numbers, and Miss Margene Page played prelude and postlude organ music. Benediction was pronounced by Milton Williams, and the grave in the Pleasant Grove Cemetery was dedicated by George E. Anderson. Prayer in the home prior to the services was offered by Frank De Lange. Pallbearers were James, DeLeal, LaVar, Alden, Marve and Rulon Anderson. Floral offerings were cared for and arranged by the Grove ward j Relief Society. |
