Show Funeral Services Held For Mrs. Joanette Jackson Very impressive funeral services were conducted Thursday afternoon after-noon in the Third ward L. D. S. chapel where relatives and friends gathered to pay final tributes of respect to the memory of Mrs. Jeanette Jackson, life-long resident resi-dent o; this city. The services, began at 1 p. m. with Bishop Calvin Walker in charge. Invocation was offered by Geo. Paul. A ladies trio, Doril Woolley, Ida Mae Christiansen, and Mary Rasmussen sang "Softly and Tenderly Ten-derly Jesus Is Calling." Speakers, who offered words of encouragement and faith to the family of Mrs. Jackson as a faithful faith-ful wife and mother, and told of her brothers whom she cared for, an dalso her thrift and love for home, her son, and his family, were Neils Fugal and Joseph S. Walker. ' They were interspersed by a vocal solo, "Hold Thou My Hand" by Mrs. Vance West, accompanied by her daughter, Anne. Closing remarks of sympathy and appreciation were made by Bishop Walker. Mrs. Leone Told and Mrs. Pearl McMillen, accompanied accom-panied by Mrs. J. Howard Nelson, sang "Whispering," after which C. A. Fugal pronounced benediction. benedict-ion. Burial directed by Olpin Mortuary Mor-tuary was made in the Pleasant Grove City Cemetery, where J. C. Hilton offered the dcdicalorial prayer. Mrs. Jackson died at her home here, on October 15, after a long illness. |
